HOW TO CATCH THE BUS

Buses pick up passengers only at designated stops; bus stop signs, shelters, or benches. Arrive at your pick up point three to five minutes before your scheduled departure time. Signal the operator by holding your arm straight out with your palm facing down. When a bus approaches, look at the route and destination sign above the windshield to make sure you are boarding the correct bus. When the operator stops, wait for passengers to exit, then board through the front door. Place your pass, dollar bill, dollar coin, or exact change into the fare box, as operators are not allowed to handle fares.

All Citibus buses and vans are wheelchair accessible. Buses are equipped with a wheelchair platform that can also be used for passengers with mobility limitations, or those who cannot navigate the steps. Operators are trained to assist passengers in securing wheelchairs. Service animals are welcome.

HOW TO GET ON ANOTHER BUS

Passengers can transfer at the Downtown Transfer Plaza (DTP), which is located at Broadway and Buddy Holly. The DTP has pay phones, vending machines, and restrooms. Passengers can get information and purchase passes at the dispatch window. Bus shelters at the South Plains Mall serve as transfer points for Routes 5, 6, 19, 20, 34 and 82. Passengers can transfer from one bus to another bus any place where two routes cross or meet. Each time you board a bus, you will pay the regular fare unless you are using a day, week or monthly pass.

HOW TO SIGNAL YOUR STOP

About one block before your stop, signal the operator by pressing the strip located near the window. Gather your belongings and exit through the rear door when possible.
